Greenwich Football Club was founded in 1997 with one adult men's soccer team in the Over 30 age bracket of the Shoreline Adult Soccer League (SASL).

 

Today it has grown to three hungry and thirsty teams with an international mix representing dozens of countries throughout the world. All three teams compete in the SASL as follows: An Over 30 team in the 1st division; an Over 40 team in the 1st division; and lastly an Over 50 team in the 2nd division.

Each year the club consist of over 100 active members players and alumni who wake up every Sunday morning to experience a fun-filled memorable day with teammates, friends and family from pre-match to post-match and in some cases from sunrise to sunset.

​

A typical season consist of 18 league matches that are split into a Spring round from April until June and a Fall round from August until October. The club also usually enrolls and competes in a State wide cup competition that can add anywhere from 3 to 6 additional matches to a season.

​

Matches are played on Sunday mornings both home and away. The club is gearing up to celebrate its 27th year anniversary in 2024 and has won multiple championships and runner up positions as well as won the State Cup multiple times since its inception.
